So, you have chosen your unique niche, and you're ready to start writing your website...right?

What is your unique selling position?
You're looking at the screen wondering what in the world I'm talking about, aren't you?Let me explain. Your U.S.P. is the Benefit that you offer that sets you apart from the competition. Do an experiment with me. Go to any search engine and type in your best keyword, if you don't have a keyword, just type in what you would if you were looking for your own website. How many results come up? A lot, right?
What benefit do you offer that sets you apart from your competition?
Let's play what I have come to fondly call "The So What Game".You should have a nice big list of features and the benefits that each feature will provide to your target customer. (You have a list of your product's best features and benefits right?) Let's take that list and improve it.
"The So What Game"
(This is important. Pay attention. *wink*)
Take your top feature - the one that offers the best benefit to your customer - and take the best benefit of the list for said feature and imagine this:You're sitting across the table from your target customer. You know they are looking for your product and they have the choice between buying it from you, or from one of your competition. Tell her/him your benefit. Imagine her/him responding with this question: "So what? What's in it for me?" And: "So what? What's in it for me if I buy it from you?"
Did you just have an epiphany?
After you have asked that question until there is nothing more to say after "so what" you should have a great U.S.P..You'll do even better if you check out your competition to see what they are offering as their own unique selling position. It's a good plan.
Now that you have your Unique Selling Position...
Plaster it all over your logo, your emails, everywhere you can.Your unique selling position is THE reason why your customer should buy from you, or use your service...or join your network marketing downline. Remind them of it as often as good writing will allow.
Let me repeat that...Remind them!
Don't let them forget why they should work with you.
