Now THIS Is Leadership. Low Cost Lead Generation is Only the Beginning...
You are starting with low cost lead generation but if leadership doesn't play in to everything you say and do then you will fail.
I found this video on youtube today and as far as training to be a leader I couldn't ask for a better inspirational snipit.
With tears in my eyes I decided to share this with you because I know that most of you started out hoping that everything is going to be easy. It can be easy, as far as simplicity goes. But are you the kind of person who will take low cost lead generation to the level?
Are You The Example That Your Team Should Follow?
Think about this for a minute. When the going gets tough... or slow, where are you going to be? Will you stick it out even with a heavy financial burden strapped to your back?
I got a call from someone who I was training 5 years ago who has flitted from company to company and each time he calls me to ask me if I'll join his downline.
Nope. I won't. But not because the opportunities aren't great. It's because I'm a leader who sticks with what I started, and I have too many people counting on me to be steady to be dividing my focus.
Disgusted By His Lack of "Stick-to-It".
I really had a hard time holding my tongue. This kid won't listen when someone tells him that he's got a good thing and he needs to hang in there. I admit I was a lot disgusted.
I'd like to clarify that if you feel impressed to move on from one opportunity to another for good reason - like the integrity of the company is somehow compromised - then do it. There's nothing wrong with that.
But if you're leaving because "nobody I knew wanted to join" then you have some serious commitment issues.
Stick It Out!
Make it count! Get to the end zone! If you don't get your low cost lead generation system into place right away and it's tough to figure it out then STICK IT OUT! The kid in this movie was hurting and frustrated. He was saying he "can't" - but he did. He made it all the way to the end zone. It challenged him.
He let his coach pull his very best effort out of him.
What is your very best effort? What kind of a leader are you?
