10 HEALTHY RESOLUTIONS FOR 2010

The holidays have come and gone, with the parties, delectable treats, and all too often, overeating. However, each new year brings new possibilities for change and growth. If your weight management plan needs sprucing up, now is the perfect time to dig in and make healthy resolutions for a healthy you in 2010.
1. Make A Healthy Weight Management Plan And Stick To It.
We all have good intentions every year to maintain a healthy weight and feel great. The key is sticking to the plan you’ve created. Be specific about what you want to accomplish. Instead of “exercise a lot,” write down how much, how of often, and what types of exercise you’ll do.
2. Cleanse and Detoxify.
Be sure first cleanse and detoxify your gastrointestinal system, so you get the most out of your food and supplements.
3. Get Plenty of Rest.
The best of healthy intentions can be delayed by a lack of sleep. When you’re tired, it is a lot more difficult to get out of bed for that morning workout and eat who grain toast and yogurt instead of a donut. Get the rest your body needs so you can make the best decisions for your health.
4. Eat A Healthy Diet.
Support your health through a diet rich in whole grains, complex carbohydrates and lean proteins. Also make sure that limit the amount of sodas and fruit drinks in your diet. Drink plenty of water instead.
5. Exercise Regularly.
Regular exercise does not have to mean jogging five miles every day. Especially when you are just starting out, a brisk walk around your neighborhood for 20 minutes four times a week is a great way to start. Be sure to incorporate light weight training as well to support the strength of your muscles.
6. Support Your Immune System.
When your immune system is in the best shape possible, the rest of your body can function as it should. Support your healthy immune system with the correct Transferceutical products.

10. Have Healthy Expectations.
Setting realistic expectations for yourself is just as important-if not more important-than the resolutions themselves. Deciding that you are going to run three miles every day (when you have trouble walking around the block) is neither realistic nor healthy. Starting out slow and steady, while staying committed to your resolutions, is the best way to achieve overall success.
Maintaining a healthy weight takes commitment and hard work. But it’s worth it so you can enjoy life with health and vitality for years to come.

Why Have You Given Up Before You Succeed?

Here’s a word of encouragement for those of you struggling with regaining your health:
The process of weight loss or of normalizing blood sugar or of renewing your energy is critical in losing weight.. People are, in fact, inspired by the you-can-do-it” speeches, but long-lasting change comes only when people were moved to implement specific processes and strategies. Focusing on our goals only offer us short-term encouragement , and that long-term success comes only when we looked at one day at a time, writing down our menus for the week, eating one meal at a time.
For as long as I can remember, the self-help speeches told us to just “visualize” achieving our goals. I know that I actually put models pictures on my refrigerator and every time I want to eat, I look at that picture and visualize myself looking just like that, and I then put back the piece of chocolate cake.
For vanity purposes we all want to look our best, but it goes way beyond the way we look and feel. We can come up with so many reasons as to why we want to look good, and write them down and reread them several times a day, but the bottom line is how we want to feel. It people only knew how good healthy feels, they would make more of an effort to lose that unwanted weight.
Here we are in 2010, having been sold these ideas for a generation or more, and we are fatter, sicker, and weaker than ever in our history. There is so much hype over diet pills and how popping them into your mouth is the quick fix, and that their miracle pill is the pill we are all looking for. They advertise there is no need to change anything, eat the way you have been eating, and regardless of no exercise, this pill will change your life. What could more farther from the truth? We need to face the facts, we need to start eating better, and start moving our behinds more. When the most exercise an average person does is change channels on the sofa, you know there is definitely a need for change.
Do we need goals? Absolutely.Do we need encouragement? Without question. But do we also need to settle down and get to work in order to reach those encouraging goals? I think that you know the answer to that question. We need to focus on our goals and how we are going to achieve them.. This includes when you wake up, how long you’ll exercise, what you’ll eat for breakfast, what you’ll have for snacks, which supplements to take, etc. You don’t need anything elaborate, just a few simple strategies to keep you on track. Keeping your goals in mind, and taking one meal at a time will help keep us focused on long term goals. Sure, we all feel like falling off the band wagon, but if you do, just get back on your schedule the next day. There always will be temptation, in the way of celebrations, with cake, picnics in the summer, with pie and ice cream, but if we don’t have inspiration to get back on track, that is when we lose interest, and then end up gaining more weight than we wanted to lose in the first place. Pictures of your inspiration on the wall will not get you through. What we then need is good old fashion willpower and the commitment to succeed at that weight loss goal. Unless you have that desire, you will not commit to the end result. Here’s your question: What do you feel undermines your health success most? Is it that you start too strong and can’t maintain that level of commitment in the early months? Is it that you start too weak, and you don’t see enough success to inspire you to keep on going? Is it a lack of willpower when it comes to sweets? Is it the physical pangs of eating less food? Or, is it simply not understanding what you’re supposed to do each day? I think that by answering these , it will give you a better idea of why you fail and what you can do to get yourself on the road to successful weight loss. What Are We feeding Our Pets:

Pet food companies have some of the cutest commercials I have ever seen. I was looking at an old kibbles and bits commercial and I couldn’t help but smile the whole way through. Unfortunately that commercial had nothing to do with the food but everything to do with the cuteness of dogs’ noses. So if these commercials have nothing to do with the food then we can’t depend on them to provide us with the best and healthiest choice of food for our dog. Cheap Is...Well, Cheap.I know many people that go to the local department store and buy the cheapest dog food they can find. These people are not even reading the labels on the pet food. They have no clue what the ingredients are but they believe that because it says ‘pet food’ on the outside it is good enough for their dogs. I don’t understand those people, some have been close friends. Their only argument they have when I tell them their dog food is not that good for their dog is, “it’s just a dog”. Not Just a dog.Then there are other people who look at their dog as an actual living being who needs proper nutrition to stay alive. These people tend to think they are doing the best for their dog by listening to their vet’s advice, the pet stores advice, or even those cute commercials that they get sucked into. Unfortunately the vet, pet store, and commercials are not always right. A lot of these foods can make your pet unhealthy. Actually a lot of these foods don’t offer very good nutrition for your dog at all. But you can’t understand that unless you read the ingredients and understand what they are and what they do for your pet. Ingredients. Read 'em.There are also the people that do read the ingredients while choosing a dog food. Some people know what these ingredients are and what they mean but there are also some people who know what most of the ingredients are but don’t understand what they offer their dog in the way of nutrition. For instance corn is a big ingredient in a lot of dog food but does corn offer your pet actual nutrition or is it just a filler that’s used to save the pet company money? Pentobarbital is an anesthetizing drug used for dogs and other animals, such as horses and cattle. Because it is also widely used for humane euthanasia of dogs, cats and other animals, the most likely way that pentobarbital could get into dog food would be in rendered animal products. Rendered products come from a process that converts animal tissues to feed ingredients.’ This is just one of the many things that you may or may not be aware of. Crazy right?So start researching your dogs food and encourage others to do the same. Our pets are suffering from more disease than ever and it’s time we put our foot down and start taking action when it comes to their nutrition.
