What You Write: A Solid Foundation.

It’s time to get started. Here is what you’ll need as you go through this task list: A pen or pencil. A notebook.

You’ll be physically writing down your research. (This helps the brain juices flow better – I don’t know the science behind it, but it sure does the trick.)

Print out this 7 step guide, put away the word processor and go into a quiet corner. It’s time for your brain to do some of its best work.

Task 1:

Do this with me. Don’t just read. Take your pencil in hand and put it on the paper.

(NOTE: You may have a lot of products to sell but you need to pick 3 or 4 of your favorites and we’ll brainstorm with them.)

Choose one of your top 3-4 products and write down all of the features you can think of (at least 10).

Features: Facts about the product.

Task 2:

Do this with me. Don’t just read. (I don’t need to say that again do I?)

Write down at least 2 benefits for each feature.

Benefits: Things that answer “What’s in it for me?” or“What do I get out of it in the end?”

A benefit has nothing to do with your product.

Here is where you jump into the life of your customer, and talk to them about what might happen to them ifthey use your product.

Do you have 2 or more benefits for each feature on thatproduct?

Good. Now do it all again with the next product.

Do it again until you’ve done it for all 3-4 of yourfavorites.

WARNING: Don’t pick more than 3-4 favorite productsto start. Once you are done with the entire process foryour ultimate favorite then you can go back and doanother one.

If you overwhelm yourself you will be veryunhappy. Keep it simple. Do 3-4 for now.

Task 3:

It’s time to choose an ultimate favorite of all the favoriteproducts.

Here is how to do that: Keyword Research.

Keyword research was a tough one for me to figure outon my own. But I think this simplified version of how todo it will make it easy for you.

First go to

Google Adwords Free Keyword Tool.

This tool is free and will give you a decent idea of which words are profitable.

Okay, still using Google Adwords keyword tool visit my free keyword research "How To" page. to see a few pictures.

You’re looking for words and phrases that have a high search volume (over 40 per month) and low advertiser competition.

So the green (some people see it blue- it depends on your computer) bar should be as close to empty as possible, with 40 or more average searches.

Be creative! (And use the filter on your searches to see only your exact phrases instead of ideas that google finds for you. You want to do both.)

Find words and phrases that people are searching for; that you think means they are looking for YOU and your product.

NOTE: I know your higher priority is to find business partners.

I recommend that you start out by generating a good customer base because you'll need to know how to teach your new trainees how to do it right away too.

When you're ready to generate your own opportunity leads I recommend Easy Mlm Lead Training.

Let's get back to work.

Find 25 words in all with the following average search volumes. 5 over 1000 10 between 100-1000

10 between 40-100

Remember that you are looking for words that you can use in a sentence and that, when put into a Google search, will help people, who are looking for you, to find you.

NOTE: Don’t just find random highly searched for low competition words that don’t really reflect what you are selling.

And don’t use your company’s product name or the name of your company. Be general. Later you’ll offer them an "opt-in" opportunity to get more information from you. You are safe to mention your company’s name and product name in an email without losing your business.

Do you have your words? (Keep track of the competition and search volume.)

Let’s move forward.

Task 4:

Scope out your competition.

You can do this simply by using a Google search.

Do you have your list of keywords and phrases? Great!

Take the words or phrases one by one and put them into a Google search, with NO QUOTATION MARKS.

How many competing sites came up in your results?

You want it to be less than 50,000 sites.

Are there a lot of paid ads?

Let’s shoot for 10 or less.

If there are fewer than 50,000 sites and fewer than 7 ads then keep the word or phrase, unless you’re prepared to compete!

Okay, with whatever is left, do the same thing, only PUT QUOTATION MARKS around the word or phrase before searching.

You’re looking for less than 10,000 quoted results.

(Putting quotation marks around the word or phrase brings up only results with that exact wording.)

Keep anything that falls in with these criteria and see what you have left.

If it’s nothing then it’s time to get back to the drawing board and do some more extensive keyword research.

Then repeat the process.

If you still don’t come up with anything profitable then move on to the next favorite product out of your 3-4 and then repeat the process.

Task 5:

Write some catchy headlines. You now know which products, features, and benefits are getting searched for the most.

You have your list of keywords to work with. Now it’s time to write some headlines with those keywords!

And the fun begins!

So get out that pen and paper and write about 10 keyword packed, benefit packed headlines.

The headlines need to tell a story.

You want your reader to be able to skim the page and get a good idea of what your information is.

Make it easy for them.

Add lots of white space.

Like

This.

Understand?

Task 6:

Put your headlines in order, and write 2-4 short paragraphs embellishing on the headline.

Be sure to use your keywords, but not too many times, it needs to appear natural and easy to understand.

Keep it simple. Make it easy. People won’t stick around on your website if they have to read too much babble. Make every word count.

Task 7:

Purchase a website and put your page out there. (or get a free blogger blog.)

I recommend two different web hosts for different budgets.

Small monthly budget: $9.99 per month for unlimited sites. $15 for a domain name. If you're on a limited budget go here.

Reasonable up front budget: $299 for a year for a program with extensive tutorials with tracking included. Visit any page of my website www.bronwenlise.com and scroll all the way to the bottom of the page. Then click on “Powered by Sitesell”.

And bonus, because this one is guaranteed when you follow their system for generating free traffic.

Alright, that’s done!

But you’re not done. You need to make it “pretty”.

Go here: www.quackit.com and use their table code generator to make some tables, then put

your headlines in them. Mild color aides the skimming process.

Enjoy creating your content using these basic online writing rules. I wish you great success!
